Mwiza Ushe, MD, MA, specializes in multiple systems atrophy, dystonia, essential tremor, spinocerebellar ataxias, idiopathic Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease. He is professor of neurology at Washington University School of Medicine and vice chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Dr. Ushe’s research interests include determining mechanisms by which deep brain stimulation for movement disorders improves the motor manifestations of PD, ET and dystonia. His research also focuses on deep brain stimulation parameters can be adjusted to improve the motor manifestation of PD, the development of objective measurement tools for movement disorders and the evaluation of dementia in movement disorders.
