When does the annual meeting officially begin and end?
The 151st Annual Meeting of the American Neurological Association (ANA2026) will run from October 17-20, 2026, at the Sheraton San Diego Resort, in San Diego, California. The Opening Symposium will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM PT, followed by our Welcome Reception from 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM PT.
Do I have to be a member to attend?
No, but ANA members enjoy reduced Annual Meeting registration fees. Membership dues for 2026 must be paid by Monday, September 7, 2026, to qualify for reduced registration fees.
How can I become an ANA member and receive discounted registration rates and other member benefits?
To join or renew your ANA membership you must complete our online membership form. For general information and membership inquiries please contact ANA Membership and Marketing Coordinator, Nicole Baus at [email protected].
If I submitted an abstract, do I need to register and pay the registration fee?
Yes, you must register and pay the registration fee to present your abstract at the meeting. ANA does not offer discounts for poster abstract presenters and the abstract handling fee is a separate fee.
What does my registration fee include?
Full Meeting Registration includes access to all sessions, daily breakfast and lunch, and refreshment breaks. Registration also includes access to the meeting recordings package for all plenary sessions.
One-day Meeting Registration includes access to all sessions for that day, as well as breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks.
What are the registration deadlines?
The early bird deadline is Monday, September 7, 2026. After Monday, September 7, standard/onsite rates will apply. Visit the ANA2026 Registration page for more pricing details.
Who should I contact if I have questions about access or need to request reasonable accommodations?
Questions about access or to request any reasonable accommodations that will facilitate your full participation at ANA2026, please contact Jennifer Summers, ANA Meetings Manager, at [email protected] to discuss your requirements. The ANA cannot ensure the availability of appropriate accommodations without prior notification.
How do I pay for registration?
Registration must be paid online using a valid credit card (VISA, Mastercard, and American Express ONLY). Full payment must accompany all registrations, and registration will not be final until payment is received. Please contact Jennifer Summers, ANA Meetings Manager, at [email protected] with any registration questions.
Can someone from my organization or company pay for my registration?
Yes. If someone from your organization or company will be paying for your registration, please contact Jennifer Summers, ANA Meetings Manager, at [email protected].
I’ve already registered but cannot attend. Can I cancel or transfer my registration?
ANA does not offer transferable registration. To cancel your registration and receive a refund, a written request with your registration confirmation must be received by Monday, September 7, 2026. Please send your request to Jennifer Summers, ANA Meetings Manager, at [email protected]. Cancellation requests received by Monday, September 7 will receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee. Refunds will be processed after the Annual Meeting. All requests received after Monday, September 7 will forfeit 100% of monies paid.
I was sent a registration promo code but did not use it to register or it did not work. How do I get reimbursed?
To request a refund, contact Jennifer Summers, ANA Meetings Manager, at [email protected]. Reimbursements will be issued after the meeting.
I registered under the wrong registration category. Can I change my registration?
Please contact Ashley McCowan, ANA Meetings and Program Coordinator, at [email protected].
Will I receive my badge prior to traveling to San Diego, California?
No. You will be able to pick up your badge on-site at the Sheraton San Diego Resort. You may also review your badge prior to printing to ensure there are zero errors.
What do I do if I lose my badge?
Please visit the ANA registration desk for a replacement badge.
Is there an Exhibits or Poster Hall only or single day registration fee?
No. There is no Exhibits or Poster Hall–only registration option. A single day registration option is available. You may select any day you wish to attend, but you may only attend the sessions scheduled for that day.
Do I need to be registered for ANA2026 to attend a Satellite Symposium?
Yes. The Satellite Symposia are not sponsored or affiliated by the ANA, but you must be registered to attend.
What ANA2026 events can I bring as a guest?
You may purchase guest tickets at the time of registration for the following receptions only. Member pricing is $100 per ticket and non-member is $140.

How do I obtain a Letter of Invitation?
A request must be sent via email Ashley McCowan, ANA Meetings and Program Coordinator, at [email protected]. You must be registered, and payment received in full for the annual meeting before a letter is sent.
How do I obtain my Certificate of Attendance?
All attendees will receive an email after the Annual Meeting ends with a link and instructions on how to download the Certificate of Attendance. Individuals who obtain the Certificate of Attendance/CME certificate on or before Monday, December 7, 2026, will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Starbucks card! Attendees may claim the Certificate of Attendance/CME certificate through Thursday, December 31, 2026. If you have questions or would like additional information about claiming CME, please email Jen Hurley, ANA Education and Accreditation Manager, at [email protected].
Can I get education credits for attending?
Yes. After the meeting has ended, you will receive an email directing you to the annual meeting survey and the link to claim your CME.
