Sattar Khoshkoo, MD

Sattar Khoshkhoo, MD, is a physician-scientist and Director of the Epilepsy Genetics Program at Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School. He completed medical training at UCSF, adult neurology residency at Mass General Brigham and clinical epilepsy training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. After his medical training and as a research fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, he shifted his research focus to the genetic underpinnings of focal epilepsies, which he continues to work on in his lab today. Dr. Khoshkhoo’s lab is broadly interested in understanding the role of genetic mosaicism in normal development and in neurological diseases. He is currently in his final year of the K08 award.
