Marinos C. Dalakas, MD, PhD, FAAN, FANA, is a Professor of Neurology (endowed chair) and Director of the Neuromuscular Division at Thomas Jefferson University, Pennsylvania, and Chief of the Neuroimmunology Laboratory and Emeritus Professor of Neurology at the University of Athens Medical School, Athens Greece. His major prior appointment has been a 30-year stint at the NIH, Bethesda, Maryland, first as Senior Investigator in Neuroimmunology and Neurovirology and then as Chief, Neuromuscular Diseases Section. His research has focused on neuroimmunology, neurovirology, and application of novel immunotherapies across the autoimmune neurology spectrum.
