Jonathan P. Williams, MD, MSCR, is a faculty neurologist and epileptologist in the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he serves as a clinician, researcher and advocate for health equity in epilepsy care.
He completed his neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at Washington University where he subsequently joined the faculty. His clinical and research efforts center on reducing disparities in epilepsy diagnosis, treatment access and surgical evaluation among economically disadvantaged and underrepresented communities. He created an innovative resident epilepsy clinic model that has meaningfully expanded access to specialist-level care and epilepsy surgery evaluation for vulnerable patients across the St. Louis region.
A recipient of the American Academy of Neurology Health Equity Research Award, the AAN H. Richard Tyler Award, and an Epilepsy Foundation mini-grant, Dr. Williams has earned national recognition for his contributions to equitable epilepsy care. He serves on advisory committees for the Epilepsy Alliance of America and the Epilepsy Foundation and is a founding member of the IMPACT Epilepsy committee.
