Jayant Acharya, MD, DM, FANA, FAES, FACNS, FAAN, is professor of neurology at SIU School of Medicine. He completed medical training and neurology residency in India and USA, and an epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He has held academic faculty positions at several US universities. He has received numerous honors and academic, research and teaching awards, published extensively, served as member and Chair on multiple professional committees and been session chair, speaker and panelist at various conferences.
