Erin Conrad, MD, MA

Erin Conrad, MD, MA, is an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine where she practices as a clinical epileptologist and directs a research program in quantitative EEG and brain stimulation. She completed her undergraduate training in physics, mathematics and French at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, followed by a master’s degree in philosophy, politics, and economics of health at University College London and an MD at the University of Michigan.
She completed neurology residency, an epilepsy fellowship and postdoctoral research at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, joining the faculty in 2022. Her research applies signal processing, network theory, machine learning and cortical stimulation to intracranial and scalp EEG data, with a focus on localizing seizure generators and improving outcomes for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Her work is supported by an NINDS K23 award and a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for Medical Scientists.
