Deanna Saylor, MD, MHS, FAAN, FANA, is an associate professor of neurology at the University of North Carolina with research interests including neuro-HIV, global neurology and implementation science. She lived full-time in Zambia as director of the first and only neurology post-graduate training program in Zambia from 2018-2026. She also led the development of the first stroke unit in the country, which opened in October 2023. She is chair of the ANA Global Engagement Committee.
