Branko Huisa, MD, is the founder and CEO of The Neuron Clinic, which has grown under his leadership into the largest outpatient neurology practice in Southern California.
He competed medical education at Cayetano Heredia University, followed by an internship and neurology residency at the University of New Mexico. He later completed fellowship in Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
Before his work in the private sector, Dr. Huisa held several prominent academic and clinical appointments. At the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), he served as faculty in the Department of Neurosciences, where he served as the director of the Stroke Fellowship Program and as the medical safety director for the UCSD Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS).
Prior to his tenure at UCSD, Dr. Huisa served as the Director of the University Stroke Center at the University of New Mexico, where he helped to develop 1st wide-state tele-stroke network. His career reflects a deep commitment to integrating academic rigor with accessible, high-quality outpatient care.
