Bhooma Aravamuthan, MD, DPhil

Bhooma Aravamuthan MD, DPhil, is an associate professor of neurology and pediatrics and chief of the Cerebral Palsy and Pediatric Movement Disorders Section at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. As a systems neuroscientist and pediatric movement disorders specialist, she conducts translational research on dystonia pathophysiology in cerebral palsy. Her research is funded through multiple sources including NINDS, NICHD, CDC and ABPN, and her research awards include the American Academy of Neurology Jon Stolk Award and Child Neurology Society Philip R. Dodge Award. Among her numerous national leadership roles, she serves as the Disability Equity Spokesperson for the American Academy of Neurology.
