B. Joy Snider, MD, PhD, FANA

B. Joy Snider, MD, PhD, FANA, is a geriatric neurologist specializing in dementia care, research and education. She received her BA in Biology from Northwestern University and completed an MD/PhD and neurology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas/Parkland Memorial Hospital. She joined the Neurology Department at Washington University in 1993 as a fellow and is now a professor of neurology. She works with colleagues at the Washington University Knight Alzheimer Disease Research Center (ADRC) on longitudinal research studies in aging and dementia and directs the Knight ADRC Clinical Trials Unit and the Memory Diagnostic Center dementia specialty clinical practice. Dr. Snider has served as site investigator for many clinical trials. The Memory Diagnostic Center has been a leader in implementation of amyloid immunotherapy in clinical practice, with over 600 patients initiated on therapy. Dr. Snider has served as a neurology residency program director and now co-leads the Knight ADRC Research Education Component (REC) and T32 training grant.
