Alice Chen-Plotkin, MD, FANA, is the Parker Family Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate and English literature major at Harvard University, she began her scientific training as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. At Penn, she leads a research group studying neurodegenerative diseases and maintains a clinical practice caring for Parkinson’s Disease patients. Dr. Chen-Plotkin has won top awards from the American Academy of Neurology (Jon Stolk Award, 2014), the American Neurological Association (Derek Denny Brown Young Neurological Scholar Award, 2018), and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award, 2024).
