K. Paul Rezaizadeh, PhD, is Program Director for NINDS Clinician Career Development Awards and Institutional Training Grants. He earned his PhD at the University of South Florida studying proteolysis in Alzheimer’s disease, then joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Regenerative Medicine Institute to develop a novel rat model of Alzheimer’s and explore immunotherapies for neurodegenerative disease. At Pennington Biomedical Research Center, he received an F32 to study neural circuits regulating metabolism using chemogenetic and optogenetic tools. Before joining NINDS, he trained in research administration at the University of Maryland managing sponsored research programs for the Institute for Governmental Service and Research.
