Vikram Shakkottai, MD, PhD, FANA, obtained his medical degree at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, and PhD at the University of California, Irvine. He received neurology residency training at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish hospital and a fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Michigan. He is currently the Dedman Family Distinguished Chair in Neurological Disease at UT Southwestern Medical Center, the Vice Chair for Basic Research and the Section Head in Movement Disorders.
