Shreya Kashyap, MD, PhD, received her MD and PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD), She completed her thesis work in the lab of Dr. Erik Roberson, Director of the Killion Center of Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics in the UAB Department of Neurology and Director of the UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Her thesis was centered around the optimization of AAV Progranulin gene therapy, with an emphasis on microglial phenotypes of progranulin insufficiency. She is currently a PGY2 neurology resident at Mount Sinai Hospital.
