Kyurim (Kyu) Kang, PhD, LPMT, MT-BC, is a postdoctoral research fellow and neurologic music therapist Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Center for Music and Medicine. Dr. Kang’s research focuses on exploring the brain, behavioral and functional impacts of music-based interventions for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases. She integrates electroencephalography (EEG) with neurologic music therapy to elucidate underlying mechanisms and inform the development of scalable, personalized and clinically meaningful interventions. Her ultimate research goal is to bridge music neuroscience with clinical applications and translate findings into practical benefits for patients’ daily lives.
