Kimberly Gokoffski, MD, PhD

Kimberly Gokoffski, MD, PhD, is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in neuro-ophthalmology and strabismus. She cares for patients with vision loss caused by traumatic, ischemic (stroke), compressive (tumor), inflammatory (MS, NMO), infectious, metabolic and genetic diseases of the optic nerve and other visual pathways in the brain. She also treats patients with double vision due to cranial nerve palsies, brainstem disease, thyroid eye disease and ocular muscle disorders such as myasthenia gravis, chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia and myotonic dystrophy.
She earned her medical degree and PhD at UC Irvine School of Medicine. She completed a residency in ophthalmology at UC Davis, followed by a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at USC.
Dr. Gokoffski’s practice philosophy is to empower patients with knowledge so they can make informed decisions and live their best lives. She is fluent in Polish and conversant in Spanish.
