Joel Salinas, MD, MBA, MSc, FAAN, is co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Isaac Health, a national tech-enabled teleneurology provider for brain health and dementia that works with health systems and health plans to evaluate and manage Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive conditions across populations. A behavioral neurologist, scientist, speaker and author, he is an expert in clinical and population-level approaches to brain health and has led NIH-NIA-funded research on psychosocial determinants of brain health. He helps lead the American Academy of Neurology’s National Brain Health Initiative and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and previously held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he served as Clinical Director of the McCance Center for Brain Health. His work has been featured widely in national and international media. He is the author of Mirror Touch: A Memoir of Synesthesia and the Secret Life of the Brain and co-author of Conflict Resilience: Negotiating Disagreement Without Giving Up or Giving In.
