Ifrah Zawar, MD, MS-CR

Ifrah Zawar, MD, MS-CR, is an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Virginia in the Epilepsy Division. Born and raised in Pakistan, she completed medical school at Aga Khan University. She completed her neurology residency and fellowships in epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology and EEG at the Cleveland Clinic in 2021 before joining UVA. Dr. Zawar leads several research projects with principal investigator grants from NIH K23, American Epilepsy Society, Alzheimer’s Association, NIH NeuroNEXT, the BAND Foundation and UVA Brain Institute. Her work has been recognized by national and international awards.
