Bo Hu, MD, PhD

Bo Hu, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Houston Methodist Research Institute and Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Hu’s research focuses on understanding the pathogenesis of demyelination in peripheral nerve diseases. His work investigates how altered interactions among Schwann cells, axons and macrophages contribute to segmental demyelination, with the goal of identifying molecular targets that can be manipulated to prevent or reverse demyelinating pathology. Dr. Hu has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, and his research has been supported by NIH funds.
